There are new findings from Prof. Liepert’s current areas of research for treatment methods for motor rehabilitation of patients with Parkinson’s disease and stroke.
Parkinson:
New scientific work shows that in non-medication therapies for Parkinson’s patients, dancing or an exercise pool has a very positive effect on motor symptoms. Regular physical activity improves the patient’s quality of life, leading to positive recovery progress.
Stroke:
Transcranial magnetic stimulation as part of therapy can cause a conscious activation of the damaged part of the brain, thus supporting the recovery process. Stroke patients must have a coordinated, individual therapy approach combined with the most suitable procedure to achieve the best possible rehabilitation result.
