Wide range of rehabilitation phases

The Kliniken Schmieder can offer their patients the entire spectrum of phases of neurological rehabilitation up to long-term care. In phase NRP-I, there is the possibility of treating acute medical problems and complications inpatient.

The clinic’s focus lies within the phase model on phases NRP-S and NRP-M. Aptitude tests can also occur in the day clinic.

Early neurological rehabilitation

The Kliniken Schmieder Heidelberg has several phase NRP-S beds with up to eight ventilation places with monitoring. In early neurological rehabilitation, many professional groups work together on an interdisciplinary basis. The treatment teams consist of doctors, therapists, nurses, and social workers. The department is very well equipped and has a high level of expertise in medical, therapeutic, and nursing treatment. In Heidelberg, Kliniken Schmieder has many years of experience treating severely disabled patients.

Close cooperation
The Kliniken Schmieder Heidelberg maintains intensive cooperation with the University Hospital in Heidelberg. They are an academic teaching hospital of the University of Heidelberg and an academic cooperation unit. Joint scientific projects are carried out with the university hospital, and there is a cooperation agreement. Kliniken Schmieder also cooperates with the University Clinic in Mannheim, the Clinic in Ludwigshafen, and the St. Josef Hospital in Heidelberg.
