Rehabilitation Science and Medical Research

Hardly any other area of medicine is developing as rapidly as neurology. To continuously improve patient care, Kliniken Schmieder and the non-profit Schmieder Science and Research Foundation, together with the University of Konstanz, founded the Lurija Institute for Rehabilitation Sciences and Health Research in 1997.

Lurija Research Institute

Numerous research results have already been translated into active therapy concepts

The Lurija Institute uniquely combines clinical practice and research. Over the years, the Institute has been working very closely with the University of Konstanz and many other universities and clinics. This close interaction between research and practice and the possibility of studying the course of a disease over a long period is unique in Germany.

CURRENT FOCUS

Diverse research activities in areas such as prognosis and medical evaluation, motor skills, perception and cognition
