Cooperation with doctors from Ukraine

Visit from Ukraine to the Kliniken Schmieder Allensbach: 24 doctors from the «Association of Doctors of the Carpathian Region», a doctors’ organisation from Ukraine, visited the Kliniken Schmieder at the beginning of March to gain an insight into the treatment concept of early rehabilitation, general neurological rehabilitation and therapy methods.

During the visit, Paul-Georg Friedrich, Chairman of the Management Board of the Kliniken Schmieder, and Prof. Oleksandr Marusyn, Chairman of the Association, signed a Memorandum of Understanding which, among other things, deals with the continuous training of doctors, collegial exchange, and cooperation in the treatment of neurological patients.

The two-day visit to Allensbach served to get to know each other and to introduce the treatment concept of early rehabilitation, general neurological rehabilitation, and, in particular, the role of the various therapy disciplines. In addition to presentations by the colleagues from Allensbach, the Ukrainian doctors also had the opportunity to take a guided tour of the hospital and therapy facilities to get a first-hand impression of the procedures and equipment used. The visit was the successful start of a joint cooperation that is to be further expanded in the coming months.
